Andrés Neuman
Andrés Neuman was born in 1977, in Buenos Aires, and was one of the 20 authors included in Granta magazine’s special 2010 edition on the “Best Young Spanish-Language Novelists”. Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño has described the writer as “an enlightened talent”. His first novel published in Brazil, O viajante do século, was among the top five Spanish-language novels of 2009 in the ranking by the newspapers El País and El Mundo. In it, Neuman discusses political, social and literary issues of the 19th century in an unusual way: through the outlook of a 21st-century observer.
